Let's wish them a bright beginning!

                                                      Its their first day at The Oxford School for some of them..especially for our kids joining tiny tots and for KG 1.For all our  students its the beginning of a wonderful academic year.For all of them this week of the month June is so special..For our cute kids beginning school life now may be the days of anxiety as its for the first time they are being away from their home and specially from their mom..They are in a totally new atmosphere and doesn't know how their school life and friends will be.Parents will also be very eager and anxious about their kids and how much they will cope up with their new school.Here comes the role of The Oxford school in welcoming our cute little kids,providing them a homely,colorful atmosphere with lots of fun.Our specially trained teachers make the kids feel at home and makes them feel secure,happy and starts loving their school.They get to know more about their friends and when it comes the time to go back home,they feel so eager to see their mom and dad to tell all about their new school,friends and teachers.They anxiously wait for the beginning of the next day to go to school again.Yes..your kids are precious and The Oxford school cares for them.So let's wish our children a bright beginning!

Health tips @ Our Health Journal!

             How to improve our health and fitness?How to develop  immunity against diseases?This is one of the most discussed issue now.In this scenario the students of The Oxford School has launched its 'Health Journal'.It is a hand-written, health oriented magazine made by our students as part of the Heath and wellness club.It is a colourful magazine comprising of health tips,various diseases,   balanced diet,heath facts etc. Ms.Preetha.S (Teacher -in-charge) was the convener of The Health Journal(volume III).

Annual Day 2015

                             On 21st February 2015,we celebrated our big day,the 9th annual day.Our students performed a lot of cultural events.It was so colourful and there was excitement everywhere.Our children looked very cute and elegant when they dressed up in their programme costumes.A variety of programmes like exercise dance,daff,mime,national integration show,group songs,group dance,drama etc were performed by our talented students.It was a day of joy and enthusiasm for our whole school!

It's the Activity time for us...

                       Ya..our KG kids really enjoyed their activity time.Tiny tots and KG 1 were given the 'musical turn' activity and KG 2 was given the 'clock' activity.In musical turn game,pictures of different types of vegetables will be arranged in a circle,with kids near it to form a circle.A music will be played and kids will run in a circle.when the music stops,each kid will yell out the name of the vegetable he or she got!The clock game helped the kids to identify the time in the clock.






Its the time for ROLE PLAY!

  Our KG 2 kiddies had a role play session.They were very eager to take up the roles when they learnt about community helpers like doctor,nurse,teacher,traffic police etc.Everybody was given a chance to play the different roles.Have a look at a few snaps taken during role play session...

‘The Sandwich Day with Fathers’

                             ‘Its the day dedicated for you dear Father..’

                               
                        This was what our kiddies had in mind when they celebrated the special day ‘The Sandwich Day with Fathers’ today. All the fathers of our KG kids had a get together at the school auditorium. The event was  really colourful and the kids enjoyed the day with their beloved fathers in the presence and support of their dear teachers. Juice and Sandwich were distributed to all the fathers and kids. Tiny tots, KG 1 and KG 2  students presented various cultural programmes. Some of the representatives of Fathers  came forward and shared their views, good suggestions and dreams about their children. Yes ..our kiddies and their cool daddies rocked in ‘The Sandwich Day’!

Hurray!Oxfordian won the third prize in The Venad Chess Tournament 2015



 Venad  Sahodaya  Chess Tournament  2015

Congratulations Aakhil and Bilaal !Aakhil Althaf of Grade 8.A won the Third Prize & Mohammed Bilaal Raafil of Grade 10 secured the 6th position in Venad  Sahodaya  Chess Tournament  2015 The  Venad  Sahodaya  Chess  Tournament  was  organized by the  Lake Ford  School,  Kollam  on 31st January 2015 .It is a state Tournament  conducted  under open category.  Our badminton coach Mr. Madhu.S  accompanied our students.
